I read a news blurb yesterday that Canadian actress Evangeline Lilly is planning to leave acting all together after this final season of Lost is over.  For those who don’t know, Evangeline is a devout Christian and was a missionary before she joined the now famous cast.  In the article she said that she wants to return to the missionary field.

I found myself moved by her willingness to leave her acting career.  She is a popular actress and could probably increase her fortune and fame is she wanted to.  But she is choosing a more humble path.  And that is most surprising and refreshing.
