Kinetic pulse
Owen crafted this beautiful poem titled “I Recall”. And a commentor named Gabrielle summed up a suitable response: This brings me into a meditative state, pondering the Indwelling Trinity – “the kinetic pulse of God”; “holy, holy, holy”. Me too, Gabrielle, me too. Much needed today. Too much stress. I’m seeking that kinetic pulse today. [...]

Scattered thoughts
A few random thoughts on this Friday afternoon: My brain hurts. I’m freakin’ tired. My little girl had first BM on the potty. Pretty exciting stuff! I have a birthday on Sunday (October 1). Oldness is a state of mind…atleast that’s what I keep telling myself. Ha! Ouch. My brain hurts.

Lessons from Fursey
Pastor Jeff from the Table mentioned to me a Celtic Saint by the name of Fursey (or Fursa as he is sometimes called) which I didn’t know anything about off the top of my head. What a cool guy! Like many of the Celtic Saints he was said to operate in signs and wonders very [...]

Winter
Heard this story on NPR on Tuesday about a young dolphin without a tail. The dolphin, named Winter, lost her tail in a crab trap. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is hoping to get a prosthetic tail for the poor cetacean. I was really grieved for this wounded, beautiful animal. I lit a candle
I lit a candle today in a prayer. A candle in the silence. A prayer expressing my need for hope. A small signal fire requesting divine help. A prayer that sent out into the void…blossoming into a myriad of desires. Then the Lover’s voice whispered back to me. Familiar and beloved. I have learned to [...]

Break neck
Holy smokes! It’s almost the weekend again and I haven’t posted here once since then. Sorry about that. I have been at a break neck, frenetic pace this week. More to come later. Stay tuned.

Message from the past
In doing some routine e-mail checking in the wee hours of the morning…a most interesting e-mail was there. I almost deleted it as spam. But somehow I got notification of a response to a comment that I had made on a blog back in 2003. I don’t know about you, but that seems like a [...]

Stray thought
Prayer should be more about listening than talking.
